TO ALL OF OUR FATHERS who take seriously life’s most important job in passing down our Faith to their children. Thank you!
Thanks to all who contributed supplies for the upcoming Tidal River Christian Camp sessions! You’ve all been so generous and we have received everything that the camp has asked for from Trumbull.
The parking lot has been completed and looks amazing with the parking lines which have been added. An extra special heartfelt thanks to the Valley church of Christ for their generous gift to this congregation.
* Debbie Christy’s Great niece Rosalyn Ross is having serious breathing issues and going through multiple tests. Prayers are requested that the doctors can identify and treat her properly.
* Prayers for Greg, Joanne and Toni and all of their family as their sister Mary Cerminara Preteska passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 30th. Our hearts go out to all.
There will be a Memorial Service for Mary at the Trumbull church of Christ on Thursday June 26th at 6:00 p.m.

TRUMBULL EVENTS:
 Wednesday evening zoom studies:
Ron is leading a bible study on the Old Testament Prophets. We are currently studying the book of Isaiah. Please look for the link and carve out time to join in.
The next Saturday Ladies Bible study will be Saturday, June 14th from 10:00 – 12:00 noon at the church building . We will be finishing up our rich study on the “Fruit of the Spirit” and Michelle Wilson’s lesson is on “Faithfulness” .
NEXT POTLUCK – Sunday, June 29th . We will be honoring our High School Seniors at this potluck.
Hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided as the main course for this pot luck. Everyone is encouraged to bring sides (salads, deserts, chips, soft drinks,etc), or whatever you’d like to bring! See Jay and/or Dennis to help with grilling the hot dogs and burgers.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL will be on July 26th, beginning at 11 am, ending at 2 pm.
VBS is coming up quickly! Meetings will be held on June 15th and June 29th, immediately following service. The only position that needs to be filled is for one Bible class teacher, however there’s always room for more. If you are interested in volunteering, please see Derin or Kristen Wilson. The food sign-up list will be on the back door. Flyers will be on the table in the auditorium. Please invite family and friends for this afternoon of fun and learning about the bible.

Fatherhood in the animal kingdom takes many forms, but few are as compelling and demanding as that of the Penguin dad. From the frigid landscapes of Antarctica to the warmer shores of the Galapagos, male penguins play a critical role in the survival of their offspring, showcasing unwavering dedication and cooperative parenting strategies. A penguin father’s duties include the essential task of incubating the egg, often enduring long periods without food in frigid and harsh conditions, actively caring for the chick after it hatches, and sharing feeding responsibilities with the mother. Their dedication is a testament to the powerful bond between parent and child, and a fascinating example of avian parental care.
SEAHORSES MAKE THE BEST DADS OF THE SEA!
There are more than 50 different seahorse species around the world. All of which do something that gives them the title of best dad in the sea! They are one of the only species in which the male carries and delivers its babies.
The female seahorse makes the eggs and transfers the unfertilized eggs to the male seahorse. The male seahorse fertilizes the eggs and is now a proud father carrying anywhere from 5 to 2,000 babies in his pouch. Anywhere from 14 days to 4 weeks later, all of the little seahorses will be born! Baby seahorses are called ‘fry’ and once they are born, they are completely independent.
God in all of His glory has given earthly Fathers a huge responsibility to be the leader of their family. This is no small task.
A father who leads their children to have a rock solid FAITH, is one who walks with much wisdom.
The definition of Faith is:
Hebrews 11:1
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for,
The evidence of things not seen.”
We read in Hebrews 11:6 that without faith it is impossible to please God.

Faith is such a powerful thing. How does a Father even begin teaching an infant all that they need to know about FAITH?
Christ told His disciples that with just a tiny measure of faith, that the size of a mustard seed, they could move mountains. Having a “mustard seed faith” is listed twice in Scripture.
Matthew chapter 17, Christ’s disciples are unable to exorcise a demon from a young boy, even though Jesus had previously given them the authority to do this When they inquired of Jesus why they were unable able to drive the demon out, the Master replied…
“Because you have so little faith.
I tell you the truth,
if you have faith as small as a mustard seed,
you can say to this mountain,
‘move from here to there’ and it will move;
Nothing will be impossible for you.“
In Luke 17:6, Jesus tells His disciples,
“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed,
you can say to this mulberry tree,
‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea’
and it will obey you.”

By using the small mustard seed as an example, Jesus speaks about the incalculable power of God when unleashed in the lives of those with true faith.
Little is much when it comes from God. The mustard seed in the parable Matthew 13:31-32 grows to be a huge tree, representing the tiny beginnings of Christianity when just a few disciples began to preach and teach the gospel. Eventually, the kingdom grew to huge proportions encompassing the entire world and spreading over centuries!
So does the tiniest bit of faith. True faith will grow to immense proportions in the lives of believers and spreading out to influence all they come into contact with.
FATHERS SHOULD LEAD BY EXAMPLE
Children watch every move a parent makes. They watch the words which are used (both actively and re-actively), they watch our body language, they watch our dialogue with each other, and hopefully they soon learn to mimic both of their parents in their faith walk.
Casandra Martin shared a powerful post back in 2013 ago about Dads walking the walk! This post says it all…

Fathers are a child’s first picture of God. For better or for worse, how a father lives his life in front of his child – the way he loves, forgives, works, plays, talks, and chooses – becomes a frame through which his child learns about the character and passion of the Heavenly Father. As walking reflections of Jesus, dads have the unique responsibility to imitate the Father so that as their sons and daughters imitate them, they learn how to mirror the heart of God.
Even as we nod our heads in agreement, we gulp as we think about the heavy burden this lays on our hearts as parents. Yet, it is precisely this father-led modeling that God has put in place as the best way to pass on faith, ignite compassion, fire hunger for worship, and teach the next generation that they stand on holy ground.
Dads, remember that you are a transparent window into the heart of God for your children. Keep the window clean and free of clutter and distraction and your children will be able to see Jesus. Moms, you have a big role in helping dads be the men God calls them to be. Lift them up – in prayer, in love, and in the eyes of your children. Sons and daughters, never stop learning from your dads. Also, remember that dads learn a whole lot of about God from their children. It is an amazing circle.
My Jesus Resolution today is to be thankful for dads. Proverbs 20:7 says, “The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him.” The way that a dad lives his life in front of his children has the power to propel them into the Father’s presence. Appreciate the men who walk in faith in your life. Tell them you are thankful for the way they have shown you Jesus. Encourage them to continue to take the hard steps defined by integrity, strength, and selflessness. Fathers make an eternal difference. Thanks, Dad!

Being a Godly Father seems like a daunting task, but walking with GOD hand- in- hand as you parent your children, will leave an eternal legacy that will be passed down from generation to generation.
