Good morning church family,
Thank you all for your prayers for my heart procedure on Thursday. God is good and I am doing well. Thankfully there was no blood clot and they only used the paddles once to re-set my heart back into normal rhythm. God is good!
Tracie Robertson’s cousin Nicole who we prayed for on Sunday with Thyroid Storm is home from the hospital with medication. She is only 31 years old with 4 children. Her heart rate remains high and this may take months to regulate.
Our fervent prayers continue to cover Leo Benevento as he waits for a perfect donor match for a bone marrow transplant. Prayers for his mother Gina who broke her jaw and needs to be on a liquid diet for 2 weeks while it heals.

Prayers for Patrick & Nadine Keller as they drive home from Canada.
Prayers for Desrine Forbes who is still struggling with her health.
Prayers for Beulah’s back pain to subside as she sees her doctor regularly to treat her.
Prayers for Betty Adams who had cataract surgery which failed. She needs to have it re-done but needs to heal.
Prayers for Matthew DePinho who is dealing with intense back pain due to muscle spasms. He has been in the ER and still without relief.
Here is an update from Barb Wangerin on Gregg Belcher whom we’ve been praying for (he came in contact with live voltage) : “He is making progress. He is having an enormous amount of ghost pain from the amputated arm. His skin flaps seem to be holding and healing. He is eating. His neck is in a lot of pain. He has such a long way to go.”
Prayers for all (i.e. children, teachers and staff) returning to school.

LOCAL CONGREGATIONAL EVENTS (All flyers of local church events are on the back table)
To understand the definition of the adjective of “being kind”…we use words such as gentle, loving, forbearing, friendly, generous and considerate.
Being kind involves showing compassion and empathy towards others.
Kindness can improve relationships and foster a positive environment.
Kindness is often seen as a moral virtue across various cultures and philosophies.
Practicing kindness can enhance one’s own well being and happiness.

Many people in the world have shared thoughts and quotes about kindness…it’s a rare commodity in the world in which we live. Here are a few worldly quotes on Kindness…
“Kind words soothe and quiet and comfort the hearer. They pull him out of his sour, morose, unkind feelings. We have not yet begun to use kind words in such abundance as they ought to be used.” Blaise Pascal
“Kindness is the essence of greatness and the fundamental characteristic of the noblest men and women I have known. Kindness is the passport that opens doors and fashions friends. It softens hearts and molds relationships that can last lifetimes.” Joseph Wirthlin
“Three things in human life are important: the first is to be kind; the second is to be kind; and the third is.. to be kind.” Henry James 1843-1916
Kindness is a foundational value in the Bible. God demonstrated kindness in one of the most famous scriptures…
John 3:16….
“For God so loved the world, that he gave His one and only son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”
The scriptures exemplify kindness since the God we serve, is the complete definition of Love. 1 John 4:8
Kindness is essential in Christianity, because it reflects God’s love and compassion.

God sent Jesus to teach us to love others unconditionally.
Kindness has no hidden agenda, or strings attached. It’s only purpose is to express love to another soul who is made in the image of God.
Kindness is one of the Fruit of the Spirit as noted in Galatians 5:22-23 that flows out of us naturally when we are abiding in Christ. The more time we spend with Jesus, the kinder we become. The more we learn about the fruit of the Spirit, the closer we come to Christ. We taste and see that these fruit, as God has listed, are all inter-connected.
As God’s chosen people, bearing fruit should be part of our daily walk with Christ.
As we walk hand- in- hand, and step -in -step with the Holy Spirit, true kindness means controlling critical, negative judgments and learning to be kind to ourselves, and to others. Learning to turn a negative thought into a prayer for that person.
“….Pray for one another…” James 5:16
We read about the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37
Joseph’s forgiveness of his brothers in Genesis 50 is a simply beautiful account.
Boaz extended kindness to Ruth in the book of Ruth, and there are countless other biblical accounts we can read about throughout scripture.
Jesus’s entire ministry demonstrated kindness...He healed the sick, fed the hungry, raised the dead, extended love and mercy to people from all backgrounds and all walks of life.
Jesus taught us using parables. The Parable of the Sheep & the goats are found in Matthew 25:31-46

In the parable of the sheep and the goats in Matthew 25:31-46 , Jesus shares that when He comes in all of His glory and all the angels with Him, He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep at his right hand and the goats on his left. He goes on to say that those who fed the hungry; those who quenched the thirst of the thirsty; those who were naked and helped clothe them; those who were sick and who took care of them… ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.’ “Then he will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me’ And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

The most exemplary act of kindness shown by Jesus, was done at the cross of calvary. In His final horrendous hours, we read in Luke 23:33-43, about the two men who were crucified beside Jesus. Both of these men mocked Him and blasphemed Him, as did all of the spectators. Yet He spoke loving kindness and one of the thieves who responded in faith to the message of salvation, was taken to paradise that very day. What is most remarkable, is that while Jesus was enduring the most excruciating and mind-numbing torture of the cross, He demonstrated kindness for each of us, by saying…

Can any of us truly comprehend this sacrificial loving kindness that reaches deep into our souls?
The world is complicated and people face a myriad of problems and stresses in their lives.
Kindness can be the powerful force we need to make, in order for positive change to happen in our world.
Kindness can unlock anger and bitterness, heal divisions, forge relationships and foster respect for one another. Simply choosing to be kind to someone could be the healing balm that he or she needs that day to keep going.
Maybe the waiter or cashier who is having a tough day, could be lifted up by our kind words of thanks or praise for them. Compliments are free and cost nothing.
Kindness means sharing what we have and giving to the needy. James 2:15-16
Kindness means being patient with those who try our patience. James 1:2-4
Kindness means forgiving, with no strings attached. Matthew 6:14-15
Kindness disarms people and breaks down their defensive walls. Colossians 3:13
Kindness simply unlocks more kindness. Ephesians 4:31-32 & Luke 6:35
Kindness that is filled with mercy, grace, hope, and love reflects God’s glory.

and GOD made BLESSINGS GROW!
KEEP SHINING AND KEEP SINGING:

THEY WILL KNOW WE ARE CHRISTIANS BY OUR LOVE

Ephesians 2:4-10
“But because of his great love for us,
God who is rich in mercy,
made us alive with Christ
even when we were dead in transgressions –
it is by grace you have been saved.
And God raised us up with Christ
and seated us with him
in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
in order that in the coming ages he might show
the incomparable riches of his grace,
expressed in his
kindness
to us in Christ Jesus.“
JESUS CHRIST is love and kindness personified!
Can we see it?
TO GOD BE THE GLORY GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE.
In Him,
