GIVING THANKS:

Thanks for each of you, for the church is the bride of Christ.  Ephesians 5:22-33
Thanks to all for your generosity as we continue to help those in need (Spooner House,  Head Start,  Jamaica effort and more).  May God be glorified in all that is done in His Name.

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

PRAYER REQUESTS:

Leo Benevento has had a rough week due to an infection which was spreading.  He has had multiple surgeries and the doctors removed two 4 inch segments from his ribs as well as the surrounding tissue.  Continued prayers that the antibiotics will treat this fungal infection.  We remain grateful that Leo remained stable through it all.  We are also grateful for his surgical team, the doctors and all of the nursing staff who have been truly amazing!   God is good and our fervent prayers for Leo will continue.
Greg Cerminara will have knee surgery on December 5th.
Mike Ross’s endoscopy went well.  It will be a week before he receives the results.
Randy Springer’s surgery went well, although he is in a lot of pain.  Continued prayers for his healing.

Reminder that Anthony Katz will have eye surgery on November 15th.  Prayers for all to go well.

The apostle Paul recorded many scriptures about being thankful.  Some of his most well-known passages are focused on gratitude, including giving thanks for all things, in all circumstances.  A thankful mindset helps us to see the good around us, even in difficult seasons.   Being grateful in spite of our circumstances, helps us to appreciate life more fully as we walk hand- in hand with our Creator and Jesus Christ.
Being grateful for God’s creation

Psalm 139:14
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;  your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
Genesis 1:31
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good...”

Job 12:10
In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind”
Thankfulness in trials
To be thankful even in suffering….

James 1:1-4
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials.  Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.  But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

The apostle Paul encourages us to do everything in the name of Jesus out of a spirit of gratitude.

Colossians 3:15- 17
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.  And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

How blessed we are because of God’s mercy and grace!

How blessed we are for His un-ending love for us!

God’s unfailing love is a constant anchor in our lives, reminding us that we are cherished!  To be thankful for God’s love enables us to love ourselves and others more fully!

Psalm 136:1
Give thanks to the LORD, for HE is good.  His love endures forever

Thank God for spiritual blessings!

Colossians 3:2
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth

Thankfulness for Simple Joys

Psalm 118:24
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
We thank God for the way, the truth and the life!

Praise GOD for His Word which is a light unto our path!    He gives us all of the tools we need to journey from this life, to be with Him in Heaven.
“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”   2 Corinthians 4:17

Praise God we have the Hope of Heaven!   We are reminded in scripture how much the Father loves us!

KEEP SINGING:

Listen to Our Hearts (a capella)

Listen to our hearts
How do you explain
How do you describe
A love that goes from east to west
And runs and deep as it is wide?

You know all our hopes,
Lord, you know all our fears,
And words cannot express the love we feel
But we long for You to hear.

So listen to our hearts (oh, Lord, please listen)
Hear our spirits sing (and hear us sing)
A song of praise that flows (a simple song of praise)
From those You have redeemed (from those You have redeemed)
We will use the words we know
To tell You what an awesome God You are
But words are not enough
To tell You of our love
So listen to our hearts

If words could fall like rain
From these lips of mine
And if I had a thousand years
I would still run out of time

So if You listen to my heart
Every beat would say
‘Thank You for the Life, thank You for the Truth, thank You for the Way.’

So listen to our hearts (oh, Lord, please listen)
Hear our spirits sing (and hear us sing)
A song of praise that flows (a simple song of praise)
From those You have redeemed (from those You have redeemed)
We will use the words we know
To tell You what an awesome God You are
But words are not enough
To tell You of our love
So listen to our hearts

Having an attitude of gratitude sets the altitude!

Philippians 4:4-7
“Rejoice in the Lord always,
I will say it again, Rejoice!
Let your gentleness be evident to all.
The Lord is near.
Do not be anxious about anything,
but in everything by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.
And the peace of God,
which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

To God be the glory great things He hath done!
