GIVING THANKS & PRAISE:
Leo Benevento received his LAST DOSE of Immunosuppressives this past week. JOY inexplicable! All glory to GOD for his healing!!!

Nancy Melson’s recent MRI came back normal, Praise God! Also, her brother Doug is doing much better. Thanks be to God!
Thanks to the New Milford church who hosted last Friday night’s game night and devotional.
 
And it was great that Molly was in town as she has been missed!
 


WELCOME TO LOGAN NUNEZ who begins as an Intern here at Trumbull from June 2nd to August 2nd. Logan is a student in the New England Bible Institute (NEBI) training to be a Gospel preacher. We are thrilled to have Logan join us and welcome him into our church family. If anyone is interested in helping to house Logan for a Saturday night to Sunday stay during his internship, please contact Ron.

Logan Nunez has been attending the West Springfield Church of Christ in Massachusetts since 2022 and became a Christian in 2023. He decided to pursue his passion for Ministry in the summer of 2024, and was influenced by many people including his step-mother Aleithea Nunez, grandfather Gareth Flanary, and mentor Gary Babcock. During his first year at Sunset Bible Institute New England in Farmington Connecticut, he was given the opportunity to preach in several congregations. This Summer, he will be working with the Trumbull Church under the oversight of brother Ron as mentor. Logan can be available for personal Bible studies, home Bible studies, and/or assisting with your personal needs.

Prayers for Jillian Duncan who had gallbladder surgery yesterday. Leah is there to help her while she recovers.

Congratulations to Olivia Bell and Max De Loach who were married last Saturday in Searcy, AR. Max was accepted into a Graduate Medieval History studies program at UCONN so they will be moving to CONNECTICUT in June! Such great news in that we will not only get to see Olivia and Max often, but David, Carmen and the whole family! Here is a picture of Annie, Laney and Hazel (who is driving now).

Many events are happening over the next few months…all LORD WILLING and with Praise and Glory to God.

Mark your calendars for our VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL which will be held on Saturday July 25th! The theme this year is “With JESUS I’m a Superhero”. A sign up sheet is posted on the auditorium doors for anyone who is able to help that day. Teachers, face painters, bounce house volunteers, food table, those who can set up, and clean up, etc. Also posted is a list of items needed for that day (food, snacks, etc). Thanks to all for your support of this evangelistic effort and is a fun event for children.

Prairie dogs live in tight-knit family units called coteries. These highly communal groups share nurseries, groom each other, and use complex communication systems to look out for danger.
Family members are highly bonded and will groom each other, play together, and share food.
To maintain group cohesion, approaching family members will touch mouths, or lock teeth. This acts as a physical passport; it helps distinguish between a close relative within their coterie and an outsider. Childcare falls entirely on the mothers.
Prairie dogs are considered a “keystone species” with their mounds often being used or shared by other species. They are extremely important in the food-chain, being important to diets of many animals such as ferrets, foxes, eagles, hawks, badgers and coyotes.
Prairie dogs are among the most highly social mammals in North America, living in complex, highly organized colonies. They communicate using a complex system of high-pitched chirps and barks. Researchers have found that these vocalizations form a highly developed language that can specify the exact type, size and approach path of a predator (i.e. a hawk from the air or a coyote from the ground). Members of the colony act as lookouts, taking turns standing on dirt mounds to watch for danger. If a threat is spotted, the sentinel issues an alarm call causing the whole town to dive into their burrows simultaneously.


Prairie dogs are expert engineers that construct extensive underground communities known as “towns” which can spread hundreds of acres. Their tunnel systems typically go 3 to 14 feet deep and stretch up to 50 feet horizontally, featuring specialized rooms for sleeping, nurseries, and even waste management. A single burrow system is highly complex and designed to support the colony’s survival.

This past weekend we were blessed and privileged to attend a former members wedding in Searcy, AR , Olivia Bell. It was a great reunion to visit with her family, as well as other former Trumbull members of the church.
We worshipped on Sunday with the College church of Christ which has 1,100 members during the school season when students from Harding University attend. There were 770 when we were there.
There is something inexplicable about being able to worship God in Spirit and in Truth, with fellow believers in other parts of the country. Praising God through song, reading scripture, preaching God’s Word, prayers for the sick and grieving; giving thanks to God for new babies born into the family; praising God for celebrations and joyous occasions; and the giving to God of our resources.
As Christians, we are “members of the household of God“. This means we are family! Family matters and in Christ, we are a family beyond compare.
Jesus spoke of the greater family of God in Matthew 12:46-50.
“He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers? For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.“
We are a spiritual family with ties which run deep in the LORD.
Galatians 3:26-29, Galatians 4:4-7
God is our Father and we are His children That makes us brothers and sisters, IN CHRIST.
We are united by the same faith and the same baptism by which we were united to Christ.
We are all one in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 4:1-6.
What matters in this life is “if you are Christ’s“.
Our family in the LORD, is not determined by nationality, social status or gender. God gives us clear instructions on how to become His child. We must be born again by being born of water and the Spirit.
John 3:1-8
Having become one of God’s children in our obedience to the gospel of Christ, we love one another as family.
1 Peter 1:22-25.
Acts 2:38-39
Our common faith and common love are what binds us together and makes us a family in the LORD, JESUS CHRIST.
Families want and need to be together. Even when we are apart, our ties run deep. When someone leaves the family, it breaks our hearts and we long to meet them again, and yearn for them to come back home. When loved ones who are in Christ, depart from this life, we know we will see them again in heaven one day.
Ephesians 2:19-22
The early church was constantly together and took care of each other as a family. Acts 2:46.
They worked in Harmony under God’s guidance and for His glory. When we are moving in harmony with Jesus, and each other, “the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work” Ephesians 4:16.
We are one body, and rejoice with those who rejoice, and grieve with those who grieve.
To put others first, to love and forgive one another as Christ loves and forgives us. Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
We get to encourage and build up others in the faith, and help one another grow into spiritual maturity, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.

Our bond of love, common faith, and fellowship is greater than anything that will happen to us in this life.
The church is the bride of Christ. Jesus will return for His bride one day! Ephesians 5:25-32. Revelation 19:7-9 Revelation 21:2
We will have a great family reunion that day..and meet spiritual relatives we never knew we had!
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
What an incredible relationship we have with one another…we are brothers and sisters in Christ, and part of God’s family forever!
We are heirs to His throne. Romans 8:17
Matthew 25:34
“Then the King will say to those on his right,
‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father;
take your inheritance,
the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.”
Being a part of the family of God is the greatest blessing bestowed upon believers and one that should drive us to our knees in humble adoration.
There is nothing we can do to deserve this, for it is His gift of love, mercy and grace to all of mankind. Ephesians 2:8
GOD lovingly opens His arms to all, to be part of this incredible family of God.
PRAISE HIM & KEEP SINGING:
 A COMMON LOVE
A common love for each other,
A common gift to the Savior,
A common bond, holding us to the LORD
A common strength when we’re weary
A common hope for tomorrow,
A common Joy, in the truth of God’s Word.
When I look up to the heavens
And I see the rainbow’s beauty,
And the stars shining brightly in the sky;
I see a joy never ending,
And a love everlasting,
We can live every day in God’s true light.
When I look back to the garden,
And I see the Savior praying,
For a bond that would make His people strong;
I know that God heard His praying
And He answered at Calvary,
Jesus died, so that we could sing this song.

“And this is my prayer;
that your love may abound more and more
in knowledge,
and depth of insight,
so that you may be able to discern what is best
and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ,
filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ –
to the glory and praise of God.”
Ephesians 3:16-19
“I pray that you being rooted and established in LOVE,
may have power,
together with all the Lord’s holy people,
to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,
and to know this love that surpasses knowledge –
that you may be filled
to the measure of all of the fullness of God.“
Every day we have an opportunity to share the Gospel message with someone. Invite them to share in the family of God, of whom we have been so richly blessed here in Trumbull.
