The account of Creation is a powerful read. After God created the world, he created mankind.
Genesis 1:27
“So God created mankind
in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.“
Psalm 33:6 says “By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host“.
Job 27:3 affirms that “the spirit of God is in my nostrils.“
Our heavenly Father created us in His image.
God is the essence of Love.
1 John 4:8 “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.“
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
The greatest expression of our Heavenly Father’s love is in John 3:16. Jesus Christ, His Son came to show us the way to the Father. Romans 5:8
“Therefore, If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here. “
2 Corinthians 5:17
Our life here on this earth is an incredible blessing. Yet, as we read in James 4:14 , this life is but a vapor.
Ecclesiastes 3:20 says that “all are from the dust, and to the dust all return.”
God created our souls which will live forever if we are “in Christ”. For those who have been obedient to Jesus, it will be eternal glory. For those who have not been obedient to God’s Word, they will go away to eternal punishment. Matthew 25:46
He is patient and long-suffering, waiting for all mankind to come to Him. As we read in Matthew 24:36 “Jesus then said, ‘Nobody knows the day or the hour when all these things will happen. Even the Son does not know, but only the Father.”
Psalm 139:14
“I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”
Our Heavenly Father who tells the sun when to rise cares so deeply about us. He has counted the number of hairs on our head! We are precious to Him! Luke 12:7
Psalm 90:2
“Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.”
Our Father in Heaven is the perfect example of true love.
1 John 3:1
We are sharing a personal story in this newsletter about a poignant interaction between our grand-daughter Betsy, and her Father Matthew.
When our granddaughter Betsy was 5 years old, we took their family to our local playground. Her Father Matthew joined us and it was a beautiful thing to watch and listen to their interaction.
Betsy being small in frame, was trying her best to reach and climb up the climbing wall which was a steep and a daunting task for her.
She said: “Can you please help me Daddy?”
Matthew responded: “Reach up high! You can do it! I won’t let you fall!”
Betsy replied: “I’m trying Daddy.”
Matthew said: “Did I let you fall the last time?”
He watched and patiently let her continue to stretch and climb and try, all on her own.
After she made it to the top, you could see the shear JOY in her face. JOY of self -achievement, JOY in knowing her Father was there to catch her if she fell, and JOY in having her Father cheer her on every step of the climb.
Matthew said: “YOU GOT IT! YOU DID IT! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!”
These were encouraging words from her Father, who wanted his daughter to succeed, but he held back and gave her the opportunity to do it all on her own. He allowed her the ability to fall, and thankfully she did not fall, but she kept on trying, and never stopped because Betsy KNEW her Father was cheering her on. After she successfully completed the task, his words of sharing HIS LOVE for her, solidified the moment. She achieved the task, and heard the words, “You Got it! You DID it! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!“
Christian fathers are called to set an example of love, patience and integrity for their children. Ephesians 5:1-2 calls us to follow God’s example.
.
Earthly families are imperfect, but God serves as the model of perfection since He is our Heavenly Father.
God, the creator of all things Loves us more than we can fathom. We are His children. 1 John 3:1
He is sovereign and rules over all things. Colossians 1:16-17
Nothing can happen without His knowledge or will. Psalm 103:19
All glory and Honor is given to Him alone. Revelation 4:11
God’s Name is to be exalted on High as Yahweh, our Creator. Psalm 148:13
God is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. Revelation 22:13-15
God is our rock, fortress and our deliverer.
Psalm 18:2
We rejoice in the Hope we have in Jesus Christ, His Son. Romans 5
God is patient with us, not wanting anyone to perish but that all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
Can we fathom that Almighty God, the Great I Am, catches our every tear and hears every prayer? Psalm 56:8
God’s love is everlasting and kind. Jeremiah 31:3
Romans 8:38-39 assures us that nothing in creation can separate us from God’s love.
God exults and cheers us on! He is our protector who rejoices over us with singing. Zephaniah 3:17
God goes before us, walks beside us, and lives within us. Deuteronomy 31:8
God wants us to trust Him. We just need to take the next faithful step. Proverbs 3:5
God encourages us all the way through His Word!
Philippians 3:13-14
God’s love never runs out. It never gives up.
Lamentations 3:22
Ephesians 3:16-19
When our work here on earth is done, and our life is over, we look forward to hearing the words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.“ Matthew 25:21
PRAISE HIM & KEEP SINGING:
Our Father, who art in heaven
who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be, Thy Name
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day,
our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil,
for Thine is the Kingdom,
and the power,
and the glory,
Forever….
Amen
YOUR LOVE NEVER FAILS, IT NEVER GIVES UP, IT NEVER RUNS OUT ON ME.
Your love never fails, It never gives up, it never runs out on me.
Your love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on me.
And it’s higher than the mountains that I face,
And it’s stronger than the power of the grave.
It’s constant in the trial and the change.
This one thing remains,
This one thing remains.
Your love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on me.
Your love never fails, It never gives up, it never runs out on me.
Your love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on me.
Your love,
Your love.
And on and on and on it goes.
Yes it overwhelms and satisfies my soul.
And I never ever have to be afraid,
This one thing, remains.
This one thing, remains.
Your love never fails, It never gives up, it never runs out on me.
Your love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on me.
Your love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on me.
Your love.
Your love.
In death,
In Life,
I’m confident and covered by the power of Your great love.
My debt, is paid, there’s nothing that can separate my heart, from Your great love.
Your love never fails, It never gives up, it never runs out on me.
Your love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on me.
Your love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on me.
This one thing, remains.
This one thing, remains.
Never forget that He has written your name on the palms of His Hands….
Our Heavenly Father will be with us until the end of the age.
To God be the glory great things He hath done.
