PRAYER REQUESTS:
* Continued prayers for Margaret Rizzio as she heals from her recent knee surgery.
* Prayers for all who are traveling.
* Jay & Flo asked for prayers for the family of their friend Mike Foglietta who passed away this past week. Sadly his spouse Erin, also lost her Father shortly after Mike’s passing. Our prayers go out to Erin and all of their family at this difficult time.
* Ray asked for prayers for his brother Mike Fernandes who is having circulation issues due to his diabetes.
* Leah’s brother David Pinto is dealing with intense back pain and will be seeing a surgeon soon.
* Prayers for Greg and Linda as they navigate this season of life.
* Prayers for Chris Baxter who heard that his company will be having a mass layoff in two weeks. He is already going through a very difficult time. Please pray that he will be able to keep his job.
* Prayers for Nadine as she waits for her bone biopsy results. Prayers for her all around health.
* Prayers for Judith Gomez who is in the hospital with severe lower back pain. She is supposed to have an MRI soon. They are doing tests to determine if the lymphoma cancer has spread.

This will ultimately be useful for his lab goal which is tracking the differentiation, proliferation, and migration of alveolar stem cells over the course of many days following drug-induced lung injuries such as cancer and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. If the next experiment he does goes well, he will likely be published in a technical paper soon!

These studies will meet every second Saturday of the month. We will be doing an in depth study on exploring the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – LIVING BEYOND YOURSELF – Galatians 5:22-23 this coming year. Thanks to sister Nadine Keller who will lead us in a study of the Holy Spirit for this first class. These consecutive Saturday classes will continue to incorporate works of benevolence to encourage others, both in and outside of the faith, and this body. We will be putting together the High School and College care bags this Saturday so stay tuned for more details. Bring a friend as well!

VBS is a huge effort that takes months of planning, requires teamwork & cooperation from many of our members on many levels. Some of what is involved is the planning, coordinating, organizing, communicating the needs to the congregation, donations of supplies, food, craft items, teachers who prepare their lessons and teach, then there is set-up, clean-up. It’s a beautiful thing to watch the fruit of our labor unfold!
The message of our VBS this year was SHINE JESUS’ LIGHT!
Children were taught about JESUS CHRIST in a fun setting.
Scripture was taught. Songs were sung. Crafts were made. Joy was had!
There was unity and harmony and the message rang out…
JESUS IS THE LIGHT!

Together, we seek first God’s Kingdom, serve each other, and HIM! Our fellowship, in Christ, provides us the beautiful opportunity of being committed to one another and working in harmony so that we can remain united and be that city on the hill that shines for all to see! Working together, in harmony, gives us a true taste of HEAVEN here on earth and we saw that last weekend with this body of believers!
