We serve a God of wonders as we read throughout the book of Psalms. The Lord’s wonders declare His absolute control over events, people, and powers, and reveal His presence and deity among His people.
- Psalm 19:1-4 :“The heavens and skies proclaim God’s wonders, and their message reaches the entire world“
- Psalm 77:14: “God is the God of wonders who performs miracles and demonstrates his power among the nations “
- Psalm 65:8-13: “The whole earth is filled with awe at God’s wonders“
- Psalm 40:5: “God has done many wonders, and none can compare with him“
- Psalm 104:24, 31: “The world is full of a variety of God’s creations, and each creature belongs to him.“

Mopheth means “a splendid or remarkable work” or “miracle.” The term is often associated with the “signs and wonders” God performed through Moses during the exodus from Egypt:

with great terror and with signs and wonders”

Pala means “wondrous works” or “marvelous deeds” and frequently appears in the Psalms:

From the cradle to the cross, we read about JESUS who was LOVE in the flesh. Every aspect of JESUS’S life reflected GOD. He was obedient to GOD, even to death on the cross.
His Mercy and Grace came down from Heaven. Throughout Jesus’s life and ministry, He performed miracles and confirmed the presence of God and showed us THE WAY to the Father.
God’s wondrous works are designed to draw all people to Himself. Through His most stunning of all miracles, the God of wonders revealed Himself in Jesus Christ who overcame the power of sin and death, and redeemed His people for all eternity.
