GIVING THANKS:
* Thanks to the Young Adults for their fine example of FAITH, FUN & FELLOWSHIP! Their bible study at the Danbury Mall went well and they ended the evening with a FUN time testing out their billiard abilities… with one helping the other! Here are some photos to share…
PRAYER REQUESTS:
* Doreen Palmer has been away for several weeks to be with her daughter Christina who lives in Maryland and is struggling with health challenges. She is asking God “to break every chain of all disease” & for complete healing for her daughter. She is grateful to all for our prayers.
* Tracie Walkup asked for prayers for her sister in Christ Sylvia, whose daughter Jordan is experiencing extreme pain levels (they live in separate states). Prayers for Jordan to find comfort soon.
* Ray requested prayers for his brother Mike who will had a vascular procedure done yesterday. Mike struggles with many health issues, especially a broken heart after his wife Teri passed away.
* The Eddy’s are all home sick, so prayers for the whole family.
* Our son-in-law Matthew McMullen’s Father Paul went to the hospital last night. They will do more tests today. Paul just lost his Mother a few weeks ago. Times are hard for so many people.

Friday night, January 31st MIDNIGHT OIL – There will be an evening of Prayer at the church building from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Bring your prayer requests, write them down on an index card, and be part of an evening of quiet prayer to God.
If you are unable to be present and have prayer requests, please let one of the elders or deacons know, so your prayer request can be placed on the back table for you.

FEBRUARY EVENTS, LORD WILLING
TUESDAY LADIES BIBLE STUDY via zoom at a.m February 4th . They will be finishing up the book of Genesis and will soon begin the book of Revelation.
The next class which will follow will be February 18th when they begin the study of REVELATION. Please see Mary Lou to get the book for this next study.

The last Men’s breakfast was very well attended with new visitors who came. We hope this breakfast will go as smoothly.
February 20th – Trumbull will be hosting a Preacher’s Meeting for our area’s preachers . If you would like to help provide food ( sandwiches , chips, drinks , salads or baked goods) , there will be a sign-up sheet on the door in the foyer. Any donations will be greatly appreciated . Football season is wrapping up with the super bowl coming up in just a few weeks. If you are a football enthusiast, it’s an exciting time for the sport.
We are personally not football enthusiasts, but recently watched a news report on how difficult it is to become season pass ticket holders for certain “popular foot ball teams”.
The Green Bay Packers have one of the LONGEST waiting lists in the NFL, with fans often waiting decades to receive tickets, due to the practice of passing them down through generations and rarely giving them up! It can take many years to move up the list, with only a small number of names coming off each year!
The WAIT LIST is LONG! The Packer’s season ticket waiting list has estimates exceeding 147,000 names!
Many fans inherit their season tickets from family members, meaning they RARELY become available to new fans! In fact, many family members put in their “wills” that the season tickets must be passed down to their children.
Due to Green Bay’s passionate fan base and iconic stadium Lambeau Field, tickets are highly sought after. They’ve been SOLD OUT with season tickets since 1960 and have been accumulating names for their season tickets on a regular basis since then!
The process is simple enough, but the demand is great. People complete a season ticket waitlist form, then they receive an annual postcard which will keep them informed of the progress.
The rules for passing down season tickets from family member to family member are only upon death of a ticket holder, to a surviving spouse; or if no spouse, the surviving children of a deceased ticket member; to family defined as, spouse and “blood relatives” i.e. cousins, on divorce or separation they will honor one or both of the parties etc. etc. These tickets are in such demand, that Packers fans have been known to add their newborn babies to the list, in the hopes of securing their children a seat as early as possible.
Of course the perks to becoming a season ticket holder are many! If you become a season ticket holder, you can access ALL of the team’s home games played during the regular season and three preseason games! Season ticket holders also have dedicated parking permits and access to NFL Game pass, which includes out-of-market preseason game access!
This couple finally ended a 47 year wait. She was put on the list by her parents when she was 2 years old! She states, “Every year, I’d be so excited to get my card in the mail from the Packers,” she said. “Last year I was 125 on the list. I said it’s got to be soon!“
At some point during the process, say when fans get to about 7,500 on the list, they are asked whether they’d like to be in the Green or GOLD package queue.
The GOLD package costs between $236 and $312, depending on seat location, plus the one-time seat license fee of $900!
Green packages this year cost between $800 and $1,014 for one preseason and six regular season games, plus a one-time $2,100 user fee.
While we don’t want to focus on just one team here, the Kansas City Chiefs are in the running as well with an equally challenging process in securing season ticket holders! Their cheapest season ticket seats are $500 to $1200 and of course for pricier seats from $3k to $5K.
Putting this all in perspective, the cost of a 30 second commercial that aires on the night of the Super Bowl is $7 million dollars. Typically the Super Bowl offers 80 to 90 commercials. According to the National Retail Federation, the total revenue related to the Super Bowl in 2024 reached a record of $ Billion dollars.
If only the world could see God’s glory, pews in churches would be filled with lines out the door.
God who created all things, knew as human beings we would need a Savior.
Jesus suffered many things at the hands of brutal man, yet He obeyed the prophecies set forth from the beginning of time. Jesus can fully empathize what we go through in this life, because HE suffered more than we ever will. Not only did He suffer, but HE had the power to remove HIS PAIN & ANGUISH, yet he went as a Lamb to the slaughter.
Unlike being in line for season tickets for any football team, Faith is not that complicated or complex, since JESUS did all of the work, for us! He PAID IT ALL!
“When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate,
when he suffered, he made no threats.
Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree,
so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness:
by his wounds you have been healed.
For you were like sheep going astray,

How incredibly blessed we are for GOD’S MERCY & GRACE – No waiting in line for years and years to be granted a season pass ticket!
We do not deserve one breath of this life, yet GOD in all of HIS GLORY, LOVES US and wants ALL to come to HIM.
NO COST…ABSOLUTELY FREE!
Our debt has been paid for!
“And hope does not put us to shame,

SIMPLICITY OF FAITH
It’s really not that hard of a process, to be part of the family of GOD.
As outlined in the scriptures, the path to Salvation is not complex. The only pivotal component and the hardest one to crack, is a softened and changed heart for the LORD.
God has made our path so incredibly easy….
If we walk in the Light as HE is in the LIGHT, we have FELLOWSHIP with one another…& the blood of JESUS cleanses us from all sin!
NO WAITING LIST!
We do not need to wait 50 years, to be part of the most magnificent, most wonderful, most breath-taking GIFT we have available to us.. to be an heir to the throne of GOD.
“And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him,
that we may be also glorified together.”
OPEN TO ALL!
No exclusions!
We don’t need to pay money or get on a list (determined by fate).
God desires that ALL OF MANKIND to come to Him! The Kingdom of GOD is available to every one of all races, creeds, status, and no matter what you’ve done. Jesus’s arms are wide open for ALL!
IN CHRIST, we can approach God’s throne with CONFIDENCE!
NEVER SOLD OUT!
Jesus’s invitation is FREE to all...at ALL TIMES! No waiting time!
The only end date in place, is when the trumpet sounds and God calls us all home. When time will be no more.
Tomorrow may never be, so time IS of the essence.
THE PERKS..
We are healed…and forgiven!
GOD is LOVE. May we REJOICE IN that everlasting LOVE!
JESUS demonstrated how much HE LOVES US, by sacrificing HIS LIFE…on the brutal cross.
BEST SEATS IN THE HOUSE!

We have the privilege to pass FAITH down to our children, and to all generations, the precious gift of telling them the story of JESUS!
The “how to” manual is GOD’S HOLY WORD…which leads us in THE WAY everlasting!
GOD has made FAITH easy for us.
We are the ones who complicate things. It’s all about a heart condition!
BEING IN CHRIST, WE HAVE SO MUCH TO BE SINGING ABOUT…. KEEP SINGING!
