Good morning church family,
2f90847a-d4a0-1e52-eea2-4c8eb0473b4c@yahoo.com>”>GIVING THANKS:
* Mary Lou’s friend who requested prayers for her son had a successful surgery and is doing well.
* Thanks be to God for ALL of our blessings in this life. May we count them one by one…
PRAYER REQUESTS:
* Continued prayers for Nancy & Gerry Melson. Gerry will not be able to walk on his foot for several weeks so they are homebound.
* Nadine requested prayers for the family of Romeo Tomlinson. Nadine, Patrick and her sister Claudette traveled to Alabama to see Romeo only a few weeks ago. He has struggled since then and recently passed away this past week. Romeo was a Christian who influenced Nadine and Claudette greatly in their faith walk. Our prayers go out to all of his family and friends as they grieve his passing.
* Molly Medling’s sister just found out she is having her 3rd child. Prayers for her and the baby and for all to go well.
* Prayers for Tori who is in Indianapolis this week for a five day percussion workshop / seminar.
* Tom Boston asked for prayers as he recovers from a recent hospitalization.
* Kandice Pimpton has a date set for her surgery which Lord willing will be on December 13th.
* Emille Jones is working with Yale now in conjunction with Sloan Kettering. There are still mountains to climb since communication between the two health systems is lacking. Yale believes that he has CNS lymphoma in addition to Cowden Syndrome. Emille has tests coming up so they will do a spinal tap and should it be cancer, they will do a treatment plan which includes chemo. They miss everyone and are worshipping on-line because Emille falls frequently. Jenna asked for prayers for her brother-in-law Heath Brown who is 33 years old and had a heart attack a few weeks ago. The soonest date they can do surgery is December 5th which is far out since he has blood clots and a hole in his heart.
Jenna shared this recent picture of Emiliana. They are grateful for our continued prayers.

1c215d17-579c-358a-1a9f-dca92b7a934d@yahoo.com>”>In the book of Luke chapter 17:11-10 we read about 10 men who had leprosy. Leprosy (now known as Hansen’s disease) is a skin disease that has terrified humanity since ancient times. Hansen’s disease was once feared as a highly feared and highly contagious disease. Now that we are in the 21st century where there are many cures for ravaging diseases such as this, we now know that it is hard to spread, and easily treatable.
People with Leprosy in bible times not only suffered intense pain with this ravaging skin-eating disease, but they were banished from society. The isolation alone that they suffered was in, an of itself, heart-breaking. They were shunned. They were deemed unclean. They were social outcasts left to die.
690848d5-b898-8702-e8fd-7fdc71d4f56a@yahoo.com>”>Jesus freely touched people with leprosy. He not only healed their outward pain and sorrow, but He showed true love and compassion for them touching and healing them inside and out!
The 10 men in the book of Luke whom Jesus met, had leprosy. They were not allowed to live with their families or in society unless they were cured. Jesus healed all 10 of the men, and they were able to return to society to lead normal lives. Jesus showed kindness, compassion and miraculous power in this biblical account.

“Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”
When he saw them, he said, “Go show yourselves to the priests” And as they went, they were cleansed.
One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him and he was a Samaritan.“
ab9de8be-4481-5d2a-b4e8-adbefafb05dd@yahoo.com>”>Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner? Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well“.
Only one of the 10 men returned to thank JESUS for healing him. This man was SO GRATEFUL to be healed that he shouted praise to God and threw himself at Jesus’ feet. He demonstrated his gratitude by returning to JESUS and saying the words “Thank You” . He fell prostrate on the ground to praise Him. Jesus welcomed and praised this man as someone who truly knew how to praise GOD! On top of it, this man was a Samaritan (an outsider) who wasn’t supposed to know much about God and faith.
Very sadly, the other 9 men missed out on the greater miracle. The greatest disease they had was not leprosy, but they missed a glorious opportunity to Praise GOD. This is not just a story limited to the 9 who went on with their lives after they were healed, but the vast majority of people on this planet who accept the good things from God, but they don’t take the time to PRAISE HIM for those blessings.
No matter what we are going through in this life, no matter how bad things may be, if we have JESUS how can we not be thankful and show gratitude in our PRAISE of Him?
b5872bd8-dc4f-7577-9e0d-ffad2750eb5c@yahoo.com>”>By praising the man who said “thank-you”, Jesus shows us that receiving healing is best when it flows into a life of thanking and praising God. It is one thing to receive salvation from Jesus, and it’s an even better thing to live out our appreciation for that healing & salvation by sharing Jesus’ love with the world!
The other 9 lepers had the blessing of healing, but they TOTALLY MISSED seeing GOD’s GLORY. Aside from having leprosy, they were blind as well. They missed the biggest part of this miracle, to be THANKFUL TO GOD for his mercy, cleansing and healing power, and most importantly…. to PRAISE HIM.
76ef596c-2d06-2b91-e3d5-5503bcd73e04@yahoo.com>”>Within the New Testament we read about Jesus’s desire to heal. He healed the sick, made the blind to see, brought back people from the dead, and countless other miracles. These miracles demonstrated His great love for man, and it was all to give God the glory.
Gratitude is different than thanksgiving. Gratitude is an inward feeling of joy, while thanksgiving is GRATITUDE IN ACTION.
May we follow the example of the one thankful leper, who took the time to say “Thank you” to Jesus, and Praise GOD!
May we lead a life of PRAISE to the Father, with gratitude in our hearts.

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”
Psalm 7:17
“I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High.“
Psalm 69:30
“I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving. “
1 Chronicles 16:34
“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!
Let us not be one of the 9 who did not take the time to THANK GOD, or PRAISE HIM for his Mercy and Grace.
LET US PRAISE THE NAME OF GOD IN SONG & MAGNIFY HIM WITH THANKSGIVING:
Thank you for the cross, Lord
Thank you for the price You paid
Bearing all my sin and shame
In love You came
And gave amazing grace
Thank you for this love Lord
Thank you for the nail pierced hands
Washed me in Your cleansing flow
Now all I know
Your forgiveness and embrace
Worthy is the Lamb
Seated on the throne
Crown You now with many crowns,
Thank you for the price You paid
Bearing all my sin and shame
In love You came
And gave amazing grace
Thank you for this love Lord
Thank you for the nail pierced hands
Washed me in Your cleansing flow
Now all I know
Your forgiveness and embrace
Worthy is the Lamb
Seated on the throne
Crown You now with many crowns,
You reign victorious!
High and lifted up!
Jesus, Son of God!
The Darling of Heaven crucified
Worthy is the Lamb
Worthy is the Lamb
May we be able to count our blessings and try to name them one by one!
HIS STEADFAST LOVE ENDURES FOREVER
Let us reflect our THANKS to GOD daily by reflecting HIS MERCY & GRACE in our lives and pass it on to the world!
MAY YOUR LOVELY GRACE ABOUND IN ME
May we be grateful for God’s goodness, His faithful provision and rich bounty of Love, Peace, JOY and everlasting life that are ours through CHRIST JESUS!
THANKS BE TO GOD FOR HIS UNSPEAKABLE GIFT OF JESUS CHRIST!
