REMINDERS:
Let's remember to show our gratitude to God, and help those in need.
Thanks to everyone for providing food for our in-house Food Pantry and for Spooner House!
Our in-house FOOD PANTRY still needs a big boost in re-stocking.  Anyone who can provide non-perishables, or even contribute a few $25.00 grocery store gift cards, would be helpful.    The gift cards can be given to Ron who counsels many people who are in need, and this is a good work of the church.

THE WORD OF THE LORD ON GRATITUDE:

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 103:1-4

Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all His benefits – who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion.

Colossians 2:6-7
As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
Isaiah 12:4-5
“And on that day you will say, “Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name. Make known his deeds among the peoples; make them remember that His name is exalted”.  Praise the LORD in song, for He has done glorious things; let this be known throughout the earth.”
1 Chronicles 16:34
“Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!”
Hebrews 12:28
Therefore since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.”
Psalm 95:1-5
Oh come, let us sing to the LORD!  Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods.  In His hand are the deep places of the earth' the heights of the hills are His also.  The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land.”
Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always. I  will say it again; Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all.   The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in very situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
1 Chronicles 29:13
Now therefore, our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name.”
Psalm 107:1-3
“Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever! Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He has redeemed from trouble and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.”

In Psalm 34 David reminds us that we should praise God through the good times and bad.
Praise and gratitude should fill our hearts every day, no matter our circumstances – especially when we are walking through seasons of great trials.  Praise God in the storms, through the battles and when life gets hard.
Some heartfelt words of thanks from a few of our Members here at Trumbull:
Irene Aschen –  “I have been extremely blessed by the Lord's promise to never leave me, nor ever forsake me .  Hebrews 13:5.  Whatever the circumstances I know he's there with me and I rest in him! The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want – Psalm 23:1.   His love for me overwhelms me. I am so thankful I belong to HIM!  His love never fails!”
Desrine Forbes – “Our God is an on-time God.  He may not come through as quickly as we may want, but as Christians we pray and God answers our prayers!  Our God is able to do all things. He is the God of the hills and the sea and the valleys.  Our God is our rock and our refuge, a shelter in the time of storm.  Let's always hold onto God's unchanging hands.  Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.”
Laney Rizzio –  “I am thankful for my Grandmother and my Christian Heritage school. “
Dorothea Cooper – “I am so grateful for the internet, because when I am unable to get to worship, I'm still able to worship with everyone on-line.”
Mike and Paula Ross – “We are so thankful for being part of the Trumbull Church family. The prayers and encouragement, singing and preaching. In or out of the building especially during these Covid years, has meant more than the world to us!”
Greg and Linda Cerminara – “ Linda and I are richly blessed. We are thankful for Jesus and the church that he purchased with his life that through that we have the hope of eternal life. We are thankful for our children and the grandchildren. They doing well and they’re healthy. They’re just great, we are thankful for our friends that we have here and the rest of the family. We are thankful for our Home. God has truly richly blessed us, and we are thankful and grateful to Him each and every day of my life.  The Bible says that we have 60 years to live three score and and 10, or 70 and we are past that and we are thankful for that. God has truly and richly blessed us.  We are going to Ohio Friday to be with the kids and grandkids to spend Thanksgiving there and I pray that will have a safe trip and will be thinking of you all.”
Nadine Keller – “I am thankful for this church family that cares for me. I am also thankful that God keeps His promises. As David says in Psalm 37:25 “I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread.”
Emille and Jenna Jones – “The past 12 months have been a whirlwind of changes. Lots of ups and downs and yet so many blessings!!!! We could give a list a mile long, but here are a few highlights of why we are so grateful.

After praying for years to find the right one, we are grateful for the love we found in each other. We both wanted to give up at times, thinking the other didn’t exist, but true love does exist and we are so happy God brought us together. Nothing is by accident. Never give up on love. So grateful to have married my best friend & that we can take care of each other “for better or for worse.”  It was a rollercoaster year with Emille’s battle with cancer and his back issues, but grateful the treatment was successful this time around to bring him to stage zero. We are also grateful for all the Christian’s who prayed continually for this healing. Miracles DO exist and we believe they will keep happening. We are grateful for the little baby girl “Emiliana Adaline” who is on her way into our lives. We can’t wait to see how God uses her and so grateful she is healthy as she grows. We are also grateful that Emille got baptized, is always eager to learn about God, and wants to raise a God fearing family. These are just to name a few.”
Emily Hubbell – “I am thankful for the love of our family”
Pat Yaglowski – “I am incredibly blessed by my family who has walked by my side through my illness and all of my struggles. I’m also so  thankful for our church family who have been there for me in all ways. I love you all ! When I had pneumonia so many people brought me meals and sent cards that lifted me. I’m eternally grateful that I have God in my life while I deal with this intense pain which limits my life.”

Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly,

teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom,

singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,

with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”  Colossians 3:16
KEEP SINGING AS WE OVERFLOW WITH GRATITUDE:

To God be the Glory
Praise the Lord,
Praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord,
Praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father,
thru Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory,
great things He hath done!
To God be the glory,
great things He hath done;
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.
Praise the Lord,
Praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord,
Praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father,
thru Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory,
great things He hath done!

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offenders who truly obey,
That moment may enter the heavenly way!
Praise the Lord,
Praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord,
Praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father,
thru Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory,
great things He hath done!

Great things He hath taught us,
Great things He hath done,
And Great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer and higher, and greater will be,
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.
Praise the Lord,
Praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord,
Praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father,
thru Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory,
great things He hath done!
