Be sure to set your clocks to move ahead one hour tonight Sunday March 9th.  
We lose an hour, but it is TOTALLY worth it for more daylight and warmer weather ahead!

2 Corinthians 9:6
  “Remember this:  Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”
This is such a great opportunity to help others in need.  
PRAYER REQUESTS:
*    Desrine Forbes is still in need of prayers as she struggles with her health.
*    Karen Stanzione’s son-in-law Jose had hernia surgery this past Monday and he is in a lot of pain and has a lengthy recovery ahead with 12 weeks of doing absolutely nothing.  
*    Molly Medling requested prayers for her Father James Medling who is experiencing intense pain in his toes.  The meds have not been helping.
*    Mary Lou’s close friend Connie had a stroke.  
*     Cindy Holly asked for prayers for the Grubb family who worships with her in Tennessee.   There are 4 children ages 10 to 20 (oldest one is in college).  Their Mother Chastity  died in a fatal car accident on Monday night.   Their Father had passed away in 2017 from cancer (he was a lieutenant colonel in the army).  She was a “super mom” and very involved in the youth group, etc.   Our prayers go out to all of the children and family.

Today, Saturday March 8th – Sister Beulah Collymore will teach the Saturday morning Ladies bible class on “Kindness & Goodness” at the church building.  10:00 – 12:00 noon.   The study of the Fruit of the Spirit has turned out to be a fantastic series of lessons.   Stay tuned for more of our ladies who have stepped up to teach.   Michelle Wilson will be teaching the next class on Saturday April 12th on Faithfulness.

The  YOUNG ADULTS will be having a Bible study on  Friday March14th at 5:30 pm at a Chick-fil-A in Danbury (Not as previously posted in Brookfield) and going bowling afterwards.   Please see Zach and Tori for more details.


Also, the Young Adults will be having a “Lock-in” Friday night into Saturday, April 4th-5th at the church building.  Stay tuned for more details to follow.


NEW CONVERTS CLASS  There will be a new converts class beginning thisSunday  March 9th  10:00 a.m.  for any newly baptized members, or those considering baptism.  Please see Ron if you have interest.

Not sure about you, but Spring can’t come soon enough.   
The coming of spring and summer will bring new growth, vibrant colors and milder weather that will be welcomed by us all here in the northeast!
Spring is a beautiful time of renewal, and rebirth, marking the end of the cold, dark winter months and the beginning of a new cycle of life.   As we see temperatures rise, and the sunshine with longer days, the soil begins to thaw, and the ground begins to awaken with the beginning of new growth.

Seedlings will grow and mature, and fruit and flowers begin to bloom.
Spring is a time of change and transformation.  As our days get longer and warmer, we watch nature blossom in all regards. 
 
God in all of His glory created our magnificent planet with exact precision and magnificence, intertwined within every second and every detail of the seasons as they come and go.  
Our solar system peaks during the Spring season, with the sun’s rays striking the earth at a specific angle (23.5 degrees) which results in the longest day of the year on June 21st, with the sun rising at 5:00 am and setting at 9:30 p.m.    Scientists are able to measure our solar system intimately right down to every second, but can we fathom that God created it all?

Each morning and every new day  is a new opportunity to reflect on God’s work in our lives.  Each and every moment, in Christ, our slate is wiped clean by JESUS’s sacrifice on the cross.

GOD’S MERCY & COMPASSION are “NEW every morning”…
God’s great love abides with us always.  God never stopped loving Israel, despite His discipline of them.  Throughout Israel’s history, God’s love remained steadfast even in the face of the nation’s rebellion and idolatry. The Hebrew word translated “great love” is used 250 times in the Old Testament;  it refers to love, but also encompasses elements of grace, mercy, goodness, faithfulness, forgiveness and compassion.  
Lamentations 3:22-23 
Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed,

for his compassions never fail.

They are new every morning;

great is your faithfulness.”  
God’s mercies are NEW every morning and they are perpetual, always available to all in need.   We have our ups and downs in life, but God is faithful through it all. 
God gives us wonderful opportunities to press on and move forward, not looking back in life.   Because of JESUS, we can break free from our past and embrace new beginnings and renewal!  To leave our past… in the past, and have a new season of change!

Focusing on the spiritual, gives us such hope.   

Isaiah’s writings to the children of Israel came at a bleak period of their history.   They were in captivity, they had lost everything that they thought they would keep forever,  they were homesick for the land and the blessing God had promised them.  
The children of Israel had seen and experienced great spiritual blessings from the first Passover, to the crossing of the Red Sea, the conquering of the Land of Canaan to the building of the temple.   They had seen the hand of God at work in and through their lives.  Their old faith was not sufficient enough to deliver them from their problems.  They needed new faith, and a new vision for what GOD COULD DO!
