Joe wrote this poem to share:

I called you without sound , but you couldn’t hear me.

I looked for you without searching, but I couldn’t find  you.

I wandered alone and stumbled everywhere

I used words with out my heart ,

I shouted in silence and never used my voice

I worked without any labor and expected my wages.

I am lazy, caught up in the moment of my life

as I see my reflection

I am ashamed and now my heart moves

It’s embarrassing to look at myself

knowing all that I think I know

I ask forgiveness with my heart

I cry tears with great compassion to you

I realize the magnitude of your love for me

I kneel in prayer to you with conviction

You cleanse me and make me new again

I am upright and exalting you with praise

I speak to you with my voice in song

I listen with great attention and wonder

I see with your eyes, looking deeply in and around and up above

I am a new creation made by you

May goodness and mercy be upon me

You’ve restored my strength

You’ve quenched my thirst

You have lifted me up from the darkness

I shine bright in your presence

Your love is a beacon to my soul

I am one of your sheep

Love Joe

FATHER’S DAY WORDS OF WISDOM –
CINDY HOLLY shared these words of wisdom which was given to her by her Grandfather, after she had her firstborn son.

“In 1984 when Raymond was about 8 weeks old, my Grandfather from Washington state came to visit us in Southern California.   As he was holding Raymond, he said “He is a gift which God has loaned to you for a short time.   You are to guide him so that one day you can let him go, into the world on his own.     I looked down at my baby boy and said, “Papa, he is a baby!”   Her Grandfather said “Time flies Cindy, faster than you can imagine.  Enjoy each moment.  I made so many mistakes with my sons and wish I could go back and change things, but I can’t.  So remember that you are not perfect and will make mistakes, but remember the goal is to raise him to stand on his own, since God has loaned him to you.”   Sure enough as I watch my two sons who are now 40 and 38 years old, time has flown by! “

Christian fathers have a tremendous responsibility to lead our children from here to heaven. They were brought into this world – now they need to show them the way to heaven.

Not everyone has had a good earthly Father.  Praise God that in Christ, we all can have a relationship with our Heavenly Father who loves us and provided us the sacrifice for all sins through His one and only Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus uses the word “Father” 17 times in His sermon on the mount in Matthew 6:33.   He uses the image to portray God, His Father, and ours.  In these verses we can see a picture of what a Father does.  God is Higher than all earthly fathers, and the ideal Father.   But all Fathers  have a responsibility to aspire to be like our Father in Heaven.

Our Father LOVES US.  It is more than what He does, it is WHO HE IS.

GOD is the Father of all humanity.   Malachi 2:10
Acts 17:28-29 Paul  refers to all humans as His offspring and He provides for all of His creation.

Ephesians 2:10 – IN CHRIST, we are heirs to the throne of God.

Godly Fathers should KNOW their children and PROVIDE for their children
Genesis 18:19 “For I have known him, to the end that he may command his children and his household after him, that they may keep the way of Jehovah, to do righteousness and justice; to the end that Jehovah may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
Matthew 7:9-11  “Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?  Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?  If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
Inline imagec7dc977a-6d22-4524-f4eb-e9fa750b031d@yahoo.com>”>
Colossians 3:21 “Fathers do not provoke your children, lest they be discouraged.
James 1:19-20  “Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.”
Godly Fathers should teach their children obedience and accountability. To protect them from harm and think spiritually.
Inline image9b69df4d-6ad2-899f-ae47-f3f470f4b782@yahoo.com>”>

1 Timothy 6:6-10 “Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.  And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.  But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

Godly Fathers should  lead their children with purpose and determination.

Godly Fathers should impart wisdom.

Deuteronomy 6.   Impress God’s truth on their hearts and instruct them through their daily lives.
Inline image72e317f6-e946-7f70-6011-9e8856f81fb2@yahoo.com>”>
Godly Fathers should forgive.
Luke 15  is the story of the prodigal son.   After the son returns home, having squandered much of his father’s wealth, the father runs to him, embraces him, forgives him and restores him to his place in the family.  What a beautiful picture of what God does for us!  May we strive to model that picture of forgiveness.

When Jesus was crucified, He was taken to the place called the skull, and He was crucified between two criminals, one on His right, the other on His left.  Luke 23:33
vs.  34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”  And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
vs. 39 “One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him:  “Aren’t you the Christ?  Save yourself and us!
vs. 40 “But the other criminal rebuked him.Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence?  We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve.  But this man has done nothing wrong.
vs. 42 “Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
vs. 43 “Jesus answered him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.
vs. 44-46 “It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining, and the curtain of the temple was torn in two.  Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.
May we all exhibit Jesus’s mercy and grace on our children and each other, showing  the unconditional love of our Heavenly FATHER.
KEEP LOVING, KEEP LEADING,  AND KEEP SINGING WITH YOUR CHILDREN:
HEAR, O ISRAEL
Hear, O Israel.
The LORD thy GOD is one GOD.
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all of Thy Heart…. (Echo)
And thou shalt love the Lord with all of they soul, (Echo)
And thou shalt love the Lord Thy God with all of strength, (Echo)
And thou shalt love the Lord they God with all of thy mind. (Echo)
Hear, O Israel.
The LORD thy God is one God.
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, (Echo)
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all of they heart.
COME, SHARE THE LORD
We gather here in Jesus’ name
His love is burning in our hearts like living flame
For through His loving Son, the Father makes us one,
Come take the bread, come drink the wine,
Come share the Lord.
We’ll gather soon, where angels sing
We’ll see the glory of our Lord and coming King
Now we anticipate, the feast for which we wait,
Come take the bread, come drink the wine
Come share the LORD.
For He will feed us with His presence here
This bread and wine will do us good
Our deepest hungers He will satisfy,
For He is life and peace and rest and drink and food.

He joins us here, He breaks the bread
The Lord who pours the cup is risen from the dead
The One we love the most is now our gracious host
Come take the bread come drink the wine,
Come share the LORD.

No one is a stranger here,
Every one belongs,
Finding our forgiveness here,
We in turn, forgive all wrongs.
We are now the family
Of which the Lord is head,
Though unseen He meets us here,
in the breaking of the bread.
Come take the bread
Come drink the wine
Come share the LORD

Father’s keep on keeping  the way of Jehovah, showing LOVE!
