Praise God for this beautiful warm weather we have been blessed with! Below is a photo of a Weeping Cherry Blossom.
Thanks to Debbie Froehlich for teaching the Ladies Bible study last Saturday. She taught a humbling lesson and did an outstanding job.

Debbie Christy gives thanks to God for her Great Great Grand Niece Jade who achieved Valedictorian status.
Nadine's Grand Niece Kensley is doing much better and she gives thanks.

NEXT SUNDAY, APRIL 26th there will be an annual SPRING AREA-WIDE CONGREGATIONAL SINGING Hosted by New Milford and Danbury churches of Christ. Tuesday Ladies ' bible classes via zoom at 9:30 – 4/28. This next class will be “Love and Faithfulness”.

Saturday June 10th LADIES BIBLE STUDY 10:00 AT THE CHURCH BUILDING . Angela Mariano will be leading the discussion on the “Fragrance of Purity”.
Mark your calendars for our VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL which is slated for Saturday July 25th! The theme this year is “With JESUS I'm a Superhero”. A sign up sheet is posted on the auditorium doors for anyone who is able to help that day. Teachers, face painters, bounce house volunteers, food table, those who can set up, and clean up, etc.

Psalm 8:3

When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?”
The moon is referenced in Scripture a lot. It is described in scripture as a dependable fixture in the night sky.
Genesis 1:16
“And God made the two great lights,
the greater light to rule the day
and the lesser light to rule the night – and the stars.“
Psalm 89:37
“it will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky.”
April 1, 2026 was the launch and beginning of the journey for Artemis II. This was the first crewed mission to the Moon in over 53 years.
 
A brotherhood of former Astronauts were chosen… Jeremy Hansen, Christina Koch, Victor Glover and Reid Weisman. This mission took place on April 1st, 2026 and launched them beyond the far side of the moon, breaking the distance record previously held by Apollo 13.
This was considered a “test flight” and it took 4 days to get there, then they were on a trajectory to come home. They shared, “We cannot imagine what we will learn from it.”
They had a flawless journey with a safe re-entry to the earth!
After their stunning moon mission, these 4 astronauts shared, “We are bonded forever and no one down here is ever going to know what the four of us just went through.”
The NASA team embarked upon a journey of a lifetime. The first one to bring them to the other side of the moon. They studied lunar geological features, and experienced a solar eclipse. This photo is one of the rarest sights in spaceflight history!
The photos they captured of the far side of the moon, which have never been seen by man before this mission, were spectacular and awe inspiring. Victor Glover stated “I have not processed what we just did and I'm not going to start trying.” Another shared that they “have a new gratitude for planet Earth“. Christina Koch shared, “I cannot take it all in that “the Earth is just this lifeboat, hanging un-disturbingly in the universe. It is suspended and surrounded in blackness.”
Interesting note that Victor Glover is a committed Christian and active member of the church of Christ in Houston. He is known for openly sharing his faith, he has brought communion elements into space and stated that his career is fed by his faith, often highlighting that science and faith are not in conflict.
These four Astronauts saw something which no other human being has seen before. They saw God's creation – up close – suspended in darkness, and they cannot find the right words to share about what they've seen!
Our CREATOR – Yahweh – Master Designer and Architecht of our physical world – has intimate understanding of where we are in His plan.
He is the GOD of WONDERS!
Psalm 77:14
“You are the God who performs miracles;
you display your power among the peoples.“

O LORD,
Among the gods?

majestic in holiness,
awesome in glorious deeds,
doing wonders?“
Over and over the book of Psalms recounts the wonderful deeds the Lord has accomplished.
Psalm 148:3
“Praise Him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars.“
Psalm 19:1
“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.“
God's wonders declare His absolute control over events, people, & powers.
God's extraordinary acts and manifestations of divine power and glory reveal His nature and purposes.
In Genesis, the first book of the Bible shares the account of creation which is a profound testament to God's power and wisdom. The intricate design and order of the universe reflects God's majesty and creativity.
Genesis 1:1-5
“ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Now the earth was formless and empty,
darkness was over the surface of the deep,
and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
God saw that the light was good,
and he separated the light from the darkness.
God called the light “day” and the darkness he called “night”.
And there was evening,
and there was morning – the first day.”
Both the Old and New Testaments showcase God's wondrous acts.
God's wonders reveal His omnipotence. Revelation 19:6 “For the LORD our God the Omnipotent reigns“
We read in Exodus about the plagues – each one directed at one of Egypt's false gods – which revealed Yahweh's absolute power over all other gods… Not only did the Egyptians encounter God's supreme power, but the Israelites also received assurance that their God was fully capable of defending them against the Egyptians.
Beyond this awesome firmament, and all of His marvelous deeds recorded in scripture, is the gift of His Son Jesus Christ. Through His most stunning of all miracles, the God of wonders revealed Himself in Jesus Christ, who overcame the power of sin and death, and redeemed His people for all eternity.
Revelation 15:1
“Then I saw another great and marvelous sign in heaven:
seven angels with the seven last plagues – last,
because with them God's wrath is completed.”
“The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it,
for the glory of God gives it light,
and the Lamb is its lamp.“
The wonders of God which surround us, serve to reveal His character, to draw people to Himself, and to accomplish His redemptive purposes. They invite believers to trust in God's sovereignty and to worship Him in Spirit and truth.
