GIVING THANKS & PRAISE:
A special heartfelt thanks to ALL who contributed supplies, food, time, muscles in set -up and clean- up, teachers, and more for our Vacation Bible School.
Derin & Kristen Wilson went above and beyond at organizing the theme, crafts, food, and more. They deserve a big shout out for all of their efforts. It was simply incredible and a lot of work. We are grateful for everyone’s participation in making this a fun day for all…ADULTS & CHILDREN. Thank you for placing emphasis on teaching God’s word to children. God was glorified!
Debbie Christy wanted to thank the Young Adults with a dinner for their having raked their leaves for her back in the Fall. They had a great time!
 
The Young Adults gave Zach & Jin a “send off” party before they head to Albert Einstein Medical College. Our prayers will continue to be with Zach & Jin and Lord willing we will see them on weekends!
A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to Logan Nunez who has been our intern for the past month. Logan has taught adult & children’s bible classes, lead the Lords table, preached, taught our Wednesday night Bible classes, and he has done an outstanding job. This Sunday will be Logan’s last Sunday with us before he heads to Texas for preaching school. We will all miss Logan’s spirit, tenacity and humble willingness to serve in any capacity for the LORD. No doubt God will continue to bless him as he moves on in the ministry. Our prayers will continue to be with you Logan.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Prayers as Randy Springer recovers from surgery. The doctors determined that he needs to have triple bypass surgery in a few weeks but Randy’s faith is strong and he continues to be positive.
Prayers for Virginia Discala as she recovers from the stroke and is now at Milford Rehab.
Prayers for Canaan Stewart who tragically lost his friend Leon Richardson.
Prayers for Linda Payne who recovers from kidney stone surgery. Praise God all went well! Linda wants to thank all of the church for their prayers.
Prayers for Nancy Melson continue as she deals with severe pain from Colitis.
Many events are happening over the next few months…all LORD WILLING and with Praise and Glory to God.
Ron has started a bible study of the Gospel of John on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. This book is foundational to the Christian faith and a great study for everyone! If you are unsure as to how to share God’s Word with someone, please invite them to join this study.

May 2027 is the New England Lectureship.
The Lessons for our Vacation Bible School were of a Super Hero theme which focused on God’s power to help us in this life!
Margaret Rizzio sewed 50 super hero capes & the children went from station to station learning about God’s power & glory.
The Cape of Commission. A superhero is not fully “launched” until they get their cape. This craft tied all of the lessons together by visually representing every “power” they learned.
The Fiery trials (Power of God’s protection) – Daniel 3

Like a hero walking among people in a secret identity, Jesus walked with His friends, but they didn’t recognize Him until He revealed His power.

Every hero got a “mission briefing” before Jesus ascended. He gave His followers their official orders to go change the world. Then Jesus is taken up into the clouds, but He promises He is always with them – and us – until the very end.
Face painting is always a hit!
as well as the Marketplace which is an all time favorite!
The planning of an event such as VBS requires much forethought, time in putting it all together, implementing the crafts, teachers, supplies, food, bounce house, face painting, fellowship and more!
After the clean up there were STILL SMILES BY ALL! PRAISE GOD!

PSALM 24

he is the King of glory.
Jesus says that we must “become as little children” in order to enter the kingdom of God.
In verse 1 of Matthew 18, Jesus ” called a little child to him, and placed the child among then. And he said :
‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.” vs 2-5
God bless everyone who participated in last Saturday’s VBS. No matter if you simply contributed supplies, or donated your time, these children learned God’s word in a fun way. These are faith building moments and God is glorified!
